1.2 plot and interpret distance-time graphs

A distance/time graph tells us how the car is travelling in a much more convenient way.

On a distance/time graph:

• The gradient = speed
• Flat sections = stationary
• Curves = inconsistent speed
• Downhill sections - returning to start
